About Us
Edward Bakhash, CEO and Founder.

Edward Bakhash is currently the President and creator of Americanpearl.com, Inc.,
a leading e-commerce jewelry site that is one of the internet’s leading sellers of
jewelry. He is also the Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Americandiamond.
com a spin-off of Americanpearl.com.  His business know-how, understanding of
technology and vision are the key ingredients that have lead to the success of these
two companies.  During the burgeoning Internet, Mr. Bakhash was one of the first
advertisers in Yahoo!, Google, Overture and AOL.  In fact, his knowledge and
expertise of consumer driven shopping experiences was instrumental in the
development of Yahoo! Shopping as he was frequently called into high-level
meetings as a consultant in the help of the design of this shopping arena.
Recently, Jeff Bezos himself sent a team of experts to Americanpearl.com, Inc to
study its operation before it launched its Jewelry Site.  As such, American Pearl was
invited as the first jewelry company in Amazon.com.  Mr. Bakhash consulted with
the team members of Amazon to help them design and launch their jewelry site. In
prior years, Mr. Bakhash worked for Apple Computer pushing the concept of user
friendly computing, AppleLink and HyperCard to the Deans and professors of
college universities.  He also worked as a consultant for Turbo Technologies, a
company that invented the first memory upgrade and add-on hard drive for the
Macintosh computer. He was personally hired on by the CFO of William Morris
Talent Agency to enroll in their famed Agent Training Program.  He has started a
handful of successful companies.  In addition, in 1992, he worked for an internet
startup called Everlink, a predecessor to the internet, whose founders were
involved with Broadview Associates, a leading IT mergers and acquisition
investment bank that owned GeoCapital.   He worked at Computer Microsystems
selling custom computer solutions to schools, companies and individuals where
he learned the nuances of software that draw people to computers in the first place.
Edward Bakhash has an unlimited passion for technology, and changing peoples’
lives through it.  He began programming computers at a very early age, writing
sorting routines and 3D graphing systems where he won two gold medals at the
Long Island Math Fair, and knowingly watched as technology burgeoned into the
products and services that we know of today.
